Colorado is easily one of the most beautiful - and frequented - states in the country. Rugged, snow-capped mountains make for some of the best downhill skiing and hiking in the world, while even urban Denver has a laid back, outdoor vibe. It's a state filled with ski towns, craft breweries, great food and more ways to enjoy the great outdoors than we can count. Looking for a few places to explore during your next trip?
Just outside of the Denver, Colorado's Capitol, you'll find Red Rock Amphitheater. Picture this: a massive amphitheater where countless famous bands have performed surrounded by the jagged red rocks of the Colorado landscape. It's located right outside of Denver, and it's one of the only naturally-formed entertainment venues in the world. And if live music isn't your thing? There are tons of beautiful hiking and biking trails as well. It's right off County Road 93.
Just north of Fort Collins is popular ski destination Steamboat Springs. These hot springs are one of the most unique destinations in Colorado. Think of them like natural hot tubs with varying temperatures (and really cool places to stay nearby). There are massage huts on the premises to add to the relaxing experience, making for the perfect post skiing (or hiking) experience. From Steamboat, just take County Road 36 until you reach the front gates.
