  1. Leave the Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport car rental parking lot and turn right on to Rio Grande Avenue.
  2. Take the first left on to South Boulevard Street.
  3. Turn right on to West Tomichi Avenue (US 50) and then left on to North Main Street.
  4. Stay on US 135 and then turn left at Elk Avenue, which will take you into the ski resort town.

 

How to Get From Gunnison to Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park

The dramatic Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park is just over an hour’s drive with your car rental from Gunnison. Take the US 50 heading west and then come off on SH-347. This route forms part of the West Elk Loop.
