Big Cottonwood Canyon is a remarkable 15-mile glacial canyon in Utah’s Wasatch Range, a 25-minute drive south-east of Salt Lake City. Get on the I-215, then the 6200 South ‘Canyons’ exit and head east on U-152, following signs to Solitude and Brighton. It’s located just off Big Cottonwood Canyon Road, next to Pine Lodge and The Cone. There’s parking available at the likes of Recreation Enhancement Act fee areas. These are managed by the USDA Forest Service.

Ruth’s Diner is a gastronomic delight, located near Emigration Canyon, with on-site parking for your Salt Lake City rental car.
