The Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad (D&SNGRR) is a historic 45-mile heritage railway operating continuously since 1882. It’s like taking a ride back in time, with much of the scenery the same as it was back then. The 12,000-square-foot museum pays grand homage to railroads, transport, and mining. It includes such things as the 1913 Curtiss Headless Pusher Model “D” Aircraft, an 800-square-foot model railroad, and antique steam locomotives.

The museum is located in downtown Durango, close to the US-160 and the Animas River. You can park your rental car at the parking facilities on site.

Fired Up Pizzeria is a pizza restaurant close to the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad and Museum in the historic downtown. A great place to grab a bite to eat if you get hungry looking at the absorbing artefacts. There is parking available at central spots such as City Parking, D&SNG Parking, and Main Mall Parking.

As well as pizza, the delectable menu consists of salads and antipasti. The pizzas are made entirely from scratch with handmade dough, then placed to cook in a wood-fired oven, giving them a rich flavor. Pizza options include Southwest, meat works, great Greek, margherita and plenty more.
