1. No Long-Term Contract

The decision to buy a car is a big one, and it can often mean a five-year commitment to payments and regular maintenance.

Your commitment when you rent with Hertz for Uber or Lyft is as short as seven days. There are no long-term contracts in sight, and the decision to extend your rental is in your hands.

2. Standard Maintenance is Included

Oil changes, tire rotations, and regular inspections? We cover standard maintenance for your rental vehicle. We’ll provide you access to our maintenance portal to schedule service with our authorized providers to ensures your rental is always in good shape for you and your passengers.

3. Wide selection of vehicles.  

Choose from Hertz’s wide selection of vehicles which includes electric vehicles and other models which may qualify for Uber Comfort or Lyft Premium and could help you earn more. Vehicle selection subject to location and availability.  

 

4. Vehicle Protection is included with your rental when you driver for Uber or Lyft

When you rent with Hertz and drive with Uber or Lyft, a Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) is included in your rental rate and provides coverage for the loss of or damage to your vehicle while you are off app.*  

5. 24-Hour Roadside Assistance

Have a problem on the road? Take your car to the Hertz location where you picked up the rental or call Hertz Roadside Assistance: 1-800-654-5060. We’ll help you take care of your problem, wherever you are.

*LDW is included with your rental solely for damage to or loss of the vehicle occurring while You are “off app”, (the periods of time while You operate the vehicle and are not using the rideshare application or while You are using the rideshare application but have not accepted a ride or delivery request), and a One Thousand Dollar ($1,000) deductible payable to Hertz. LDW is not insurance and does not provide third party liability protection. Coverage may be voided. Additional terms and conditions apply. 

Partial Damage Waiver (PDW), Rideshare Damage Waiver (RDW), or other optional insurance products, including without limitation Liability Insurance Supplement (LIS), Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) / personal effects coverage (PEC) or Emergency Sickness Protection (ESP) may not be available in connection with Your rental.
