Rent a Chevy Suburban

The Chevy Suburban appeals to larger families who want something with the same impressive capacity as a minivan, but aren’t yet quite ready to dive into minivan ownership or rental. 

The interior of the Suburban can perhaps best be described as “cavernous” – three rows of seats, two of which fold down, plenty of headroom, a capacious trunk and lots of legroom make this one of the roomiest vehicles on the market. 

The storage capacity is impressive under any circumstances. With all three rows of seats in use, there are still 41.5 cubic feet of space in the trunk. This expands to 93.8 cubic feet with the third row folded, and a huge 144.7 cubic feet when only using the front seats.

The 5.8-litre V-8 engine with 355 hp comes as standard, with up to 6.2-litre / 420 hp available on higher trim models. All models have either all-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive, and a 10-speed automatic transmission. 

Both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connections are included, with a central 17.7” infotainment display backed up by an 11” digital cluster display in front of the driver. Rear seat entertainment systems are optional extras found in some models, as is a Bose stereo.
