Dallas Museum of Art
Admire more than 25,000 artworks ranging from the third century to more modern times. Since 1903, the Dallas Museum of Art has been displaying an eclectic, growing collection of art from all over the world. Encounter African sculptures, contemporary paintings by Andy Warhol and Jackson Pollock, and works by European greats such as Van Gogh.
Klyde Warren Park
Uptown and the Arts District are separated by this peaceful green space that sits on top of the now underground Woodall Rodgers Freeway. There’s a huge tree-lined promenade, children’s playground and botanical garden. Burn off some steam in the urban games area, by playing table tennis, badminton and chess.
Reunion Tower
Standing out among Dallas’ modern skyline is the giant globe atop the 561-foot high Reunion Tower. Head up to the indoor and outdoor observation deck for breathtaking views over the city and northern prairie. Wolfgang Puck's Five Sixty restaurant is on the 50th floor if the climb makes you hungry.
Southfork Ranch
Just a 40-minute drive from Downtown, you’ll find the famous Ewing home. Today, it’s a fully operational ranch in the Parker neighborhood. But you can still take a guided tour of the iconic ‘Dallas’ house (the 1978-1991 TV series), full of costumes, sets and props – including the infamous gun that shot JR, the fictional star of the show.
