Scenic vistas, crystal clear waters and palm trees, that’s what you’ll get at Eagle Beach. Located north of the island, it’s a little further east of Tanki Leendert, just next to Punta Brabo. Come by here if you want a relaxing day lying on golden sands while listening to soothing waves hitting the shoreline. The waters are calm with a turquoise tint – perfect for a swim in the Caribbean sea. There are some local inhabitants here that you may be lucky to spot – turtles, and lots of them. Arikok National Park makes up around a fifth of the island. It’s a rugged terrain here, making a Jeep rental a good vehicle to drive in this part of Aruba. There are plenty of great photo opportunities, such as desert hills, cacti, and a breathtaking view of the coast. This national treasure is situated in the central/central southwest of the island, with San Fuego, Drumidera, and Dos Playa nearby. It’s just over an 11km journey along route 7. As it’s a small island, it wouldn’t take you too long to explore the vast landscape, discover hidden coves, and learn about Aruba’s natural heritage. 

Fan of peaks? Put your climbing/hiking equipment in the back of a Jeep car rental and embark on an Aruba adventure to the 540-foot volcanic peak. If you manage to get to the top, you might be able to see the neighboring country, Venezuela, if it’s not cloudy. Hooiberg is in the heart of Aruba, where you’ll be able to see the countryside in all its glory. There are 600 steps to the top, so be sure to bring plenty of fluids to drink, especially on a warm day. At the top, it’s 360 degrees of beautiful views, with wild goats, lizards, and much more wildlife to see.
