What are the benefits of joining Gold+ ?

How do I redeem my reward points?
To redeem points and reserve a car online, log in to hertz.com or sign in on the app and make a reservation. Check the box that reads, “Use my Gold+ points.” If your itinerary qualifies for a reward, you’ll see your options on the “Review and Book” page. For further help, view these instructions. Please keep in mind, you will still be responsible for any taxes, fees, and options associated with the rental.
Do I earn rewards points on all my vehicle rentals and additional products or services?
Points are earned automatically when you book with your Gold+ account. Points are earned on the base rental rate only which excludes taxes, fees, and additional products and services.
My Gold+ number was not attached to my rental, can I still earn points on that rental?
Yes. As long as you request your Gold+ points within six months of the rental return and you were a Gold+ member at the time of the rental. To request retroactive credit for Gold+ points, log in to your member account on hertz.com. Then click “My Account,” followed by “Use My Points.” Click the “Missing Points Request” and complete the online form.
Do my Gold+ points expire?
Points are valid for five years from the date that they were earned. If a Gold+ member does not redeem the points within a five-year period, the points will be considered forfeited and removed. This five-year point expiration does not apply to residents of Canada.
In addition to the expiration policy above, all points in a Gold+ member’s account will be forfeited and removed from a member’s account after twelve months of no rental activity. Point transfer to an immediate family member does not count as rental activity. The redemption of points, which occurs at time of booking, does not count as rental activity, however, the completion of the rental in which points were redeemed, will count toward rental activity. Points earned in connection with a limited time promotion (“Bonus Points”) will carry an earlier expiration date. This date will always be disclosed in the terms and conditions of the Bonus Points promotion.
When does my status expire?
If status is earned at any point within the calendar year, you maintain that status for that year and the following. For example, if you earn status in October 2026, you'll maintain it through December 2027.
