When referring to an Intermediate Car, we’re generally talking about vehicles that are larger than Compact Cars but smaller than a Fullsize Car. This is why Intermediate Cars are also known as Mid-sized Cars. In some cases, Intermediate Cars may also refer to cars that have an engine size between 2.5L to 3.0L. Intermediate Cars usually seat up to five people and mostly come with a four-door configuration – although some two-door options are also available.
What’s the difference between an Intermediate Car and a Standard Car?
The main difference between an Intermediate Car and a Standard Car is the size. Intermediate Cars are smaller than Standard Cars. Despite having smaller cabins, Intermediate Cars usually offer greater fuel economy than their standard equivalents – making them ideal for long-distance trips.
