The company was founded by INEOS chairman Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who set out to create a modern utility vehicle designed with a clear focus on functionality and straightforward design.
The result was the INEOS Grenadier, named after The Grenadier pub in London where the original concept for the vehicle was discussed. Before development began, INEOS carried out extensive research with thousands of vehicle owners and enthusiasts to understand what drivers valued most in a durable SUV. Those insights helped shape the design and engineering philosophy behind the Grenadier.
INEOS Automotive partnered with established automotive suppliers to develop the vehicle.
