The KONA Electric SUV can be accessed via the traditional smart key/touch sensor or door handle button, depending on the trim. Thanks to Hyundai Digital Key 2 Touch, you can also unlock the car with your smartphone or Apple Watch.
Before starting the vehicle, make sure your seatbelt is fastened and all electrical devices are turned off.
First, press your foot on the brake pedal and hold. While depressing the brake pedal, press the Start/Stop button located on the right-hand side of the steering wheel. That vehicle will start, and the dash lights will illuminate.

When pulling into a parking spot, the parking sensors will warn you of objects in front or behind the vehicle via audio and visual alerts. Keep an eye on the touch screen, which will show where the object is in relation to your vehicle.
Once you’ve safely pulled into a parking spot, press and hold down the brake pedal. While depressing the brake pedal, press the “P” button on the center console to put the car into park mode. Then apply the handbrake by lifting the EPB button up.
Finally, depress the brake pedal and push the Start/Stop button located on the right-hand side of the steering wheel. The engine will power off, allowing you to release the brake pedal and exit the car safely.

The all-new KONA Electric SUV boasts a 64 kWh battery pack with a driving range of up to 300 miles. While it’s a slower peak charging rate than the older KONA, it can hold this rate for longer.
The KONA Electric SUV also has a DC fast charge option, which charges at a rate of up to 100 kW. That means you can top it up from 10% to 80% in around 47 minutes. Its 39.2 kWh battery delivers up to 305km of driving range on a single charge.
As efficient as the KONA Electric SUV is, it can’t drive forever. However, you can extend the EV’s range in a number of ways, and it all comes down to making a few adjustments.
