  • U.S. Route 12 (US-12) passes directly through Downtown. It’s known as the Lewis and Clark Highway, and you can follow this historic trail through Lolo National Forest and the Bitterroot Mountains towards Idaho.

 

How to Get From Missoula International Airport to Downtown

It takes around 15 minutes to drive your rental car from Missoula International Airport to Downtown Missoula:

  1. Leave the Hertz rental lot and follow Johnson Bell Drive.
  2. Turn right onto West Broadway Street.
  3. Take a left onto Airway Boulevard and continue straight at the roundabout.
  4. Use the right lane to merge onto I-90 East.
  5. Follow I-90 East for approximately five miles before taking Exit 104 for Orange Street.
  6. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Old US-93 West and continue into Downtown.

 

How to Get From Missoula to Kalispell

Kalispell is just over two hours’ drive from Missoula in your rental car. Follow I-90 West out of the city and join US-93 North. Continue along this route past Flathead Lake, until you reach Main Street in Downtown Kalispell.
