  • U.S. Route 93 (US-93) runs directly through Kalispell, connecting the city to Whitefish in the north and past Flathead Lake to Missoula in the south.
  • Kalispell Bypass (US-93 Alt.) is an alternate route to US-93, which avoids Downtown to relieve congestion within the city.
  • U.S. Route 2 (US-2) passes directly through downtown Kalispell, continuing west into Idaho and east into North Dakota. It’s also the main route to Glacier Park International Airport.

 

How to Get From Glacier Park International Airport to Downtown

It takes around 15 minutes to drive your Kalispell rental car from Glacier Park International Airport to Downtown Kalispell.

  1. Leaving the Hertz parking lot, head right to follow Glacier Airport Road.
  2. At the roundabout, continue straight before turning right onto US-2 West.
  3. Continue along US-2 West for around six miles and turn right to stay on the highway.
  4. Turn left onto North Main Street and you’ll be in the heart of Downtown.

 

How to Get From Kalispell to Whitefish

Situated in the Rocky Mountains, Whitefish is around a 20-minute drive from Kalispell in your rental car. Just follow the US-93 North out of the city center for 15 miles until you reach the popular ski and mountain resort.
