  • Interstate 110 (I-110) is a short route that links U.S. Highway 98 to Interstate 10 in the north of Pensacola and travels from the north of the city, through Downtown.
  • Interstate 10 (I-10)enters Florida from the Alabama state line in the west and connects Pensacola to Tallahassee and Lake City, as well as Jacksonville in the east.
  • U.S. Route 29 (US 29) runs from downtown Pensacola to Alabama entirely within Escambia County. It is the westernmost south to north U.S. route in Florida.

 

How to Get From Pensacola International Airport to Downtown

It takes under 15 minutes to drive from Pensacola International Airport to Pensacola’s bustling Downtown area with your Hertz rental car.

  1. Leave the Hertz car rental lot and take Airport Boulevard to North 12th Avenue.
  2. Head north-east towards Airport Boulevard.
  3. Turn left and continue on North 12th Avenue.
  4. Continue onto East Fairfield Drive then turn left onto North 9 Avenue.
  5. Take a right onto East Blount Street.
  6. Head left onto N Palafox Street to arrive in Downtown Pensacola.

 

How to Get From Pensacola to Jacksonville

Jacksonville is approximately 350 miles and five hours east of Pensacola, via the I-10 East in a holiday or business car rental. Simply leave the city center on I-110 North and take Exit 6 to merge onto I-10 East. Stay on this route as you pass through much of northwest Florida and follow it through to central Jacksonville.
