  • National Route 1 (N1) follows a similar route to the E19. But you’ll pass directly through the center of Antwerp in your rental car.

 

How to Get From Antwerp to Bruges in Your Car Rental

It takes less than one hour and 30 minutes to drive the 60 miles from Antwerp to Bruges in a rental car.

  1. Leave the airport car rental parking lot on Luchthavenlei.
  2. Turn left on to Vosstraat, then take Saffierstraat, Arbeidersstraat and Posthofbrug to join the R10.
  3. Follow the R10 and merge on to the Ring 1/E34.
  4. Keep left to continue on to the E17, then use the right lane to merge on to the E40.
  5. After 25 miles, take Exit 8 and follow the signs into Bruges.

 

How to Get From Antwerp to Gent in a Rental Car

In your holiday or business rental car, Antwerp is around a 45-minute drive from Gent. Just get on to the Ring 1/E34, then head west on the E17 for 30 miles until you arrive in Gent.
