What happens if PlatePass isn’t accepted?

If you’re traveling on toll roads in areas where PlatePass isn’t accepted, you’ll have to pay with an accepted payment method. It’s a good idea to plan your route beforehand. This way, you’ll know where you can benefit from PlatePass as well as find out any charges for tollways where PlatePass isn’t accepted.

Your charges will be listed in full once you receive the receipt for your Hertz rental. If you travel on any toll roads that use other electronic methods of payment, such as license plate recognition, you will be charged separately for each toll.
