Get up to 20% off the base rate of all car rentals

With an AAA membership, drivers can enjoy a discount of up to 20% off the base rate of renting a car. This is valid on all rentals, including Electric Vehicles (EVs). Saving on your Hertz rental car can free up more money for your travel plans, whether that’s attraction tickets, staying in a luxury hotel, dining out, or for fuel to travel a little further.

The Hertz AAA discount amount will vary depending on location, length of rental, date, vehicle class and other factors.

Additional driver fee is waived for qualified AAA members

With a AAA membership, you can also add a second driver to your car rental without the associated fee. The additional driver fee is waived for AAA members. This can save you as much as $13.50 per day on the cost of your vehicle rental.

Adding an additional driver can be very beneficial, especially if you’re planning a longer road trip. It means you can each take turns behind the wheel and cover more miles without sacrificing vital rest. It also means both drivers can experience driving on some of the country’s most famous and iconic roads. To qualify as an additional driver, the named person will need to:

• Meet all standard rental requirements, including age

Young renter fee is waived for AAA members (20-24 years old)

When renting from Hertz, normally renters under the age of 25 pay a small young renter fee of $19 per day. With a AAA membership, this young renter fee is waived, saving you a significant amount, especially if you plan on hiring a vehicle for a few days.

10% off a tank of gas when purchasing prepaid fuel

As well as saving 10% with the prepaid option, AAA members also save time as there’s no need to refuel the vehicle before you return it. Loss damage limited to $5,000 for AAA members

With your AAA membership, you can enjoy a limited loss damage liability of $5,000, providing peace of mind during your rental period (as long as there is no violation of the terms and conditions of the Rental Agreement).

Loss of use charge is waived for AAA members

A loss of use charge is a fee paid so that the rental company won’t charge the driver if your rental car is stolen or damaged during the rental period. While this daily cost can add to the price of your rental, with a AAA membership, you’ll have this fee waived.
