Virginia to New York: Veterans Day Trail

You’ll start this road trip in Virginia, at the National Museum of the United States Army. Discover exhibits covering more than 245 years of military history and visit the immersive Army Theater – a 300-degree screen that gives visitors an insight into what it’s like to be a US soldier.
Drive on to the Arlington National Cemetery, where thousands of soldiers from the American Civil War and more recent conflicts are buried. A place for reflection and peace, it's also home to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier memorial.
From Virginia, you can then continue to other memorials and museums along the East Coast, from the Smithsonian National Museum of American History in Washington DC to the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in New York.

Passing through Virginia, you’ll get to experience “America's Favorite Drive” – the Blue Ridge Parkway. Follow the winding 469-mile route through lush greenery in summer or color-changing forests in fall.
Drive down to Staunton River State Park for a first-class view of the stars beyond at this International Dark Sky Park. Hire a telescope and make the most of camping facilities to stargaze to your heart’s content.

Georgia to Maine: Appalachian Trail

Start your trip swimming, hiking or biking around the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forests and the Great Smoky Mountains. Wisconsin to New Jersey: Roller Coaster Tour
