  • State Highway 6 (SH 6) runs south-east to north-west through College Station and Bryan and is known locally as the Earl Rudder Freeway.
  • State Highway 21 (SH 21) intersects with SH 6 in Bryan and runs south-west through Texas until just outside San Marcos.
  • State Highway 30 (SH 30) begins in the very heart of College Station and takes you to Huntsville in the east, where it ends – a distance of just over 50 miles. From there, you can link up with the I-45, which goes south to Houston.

 

How To Get From College Station To Houston

Houston is around 100 miles southeast of College Station in your rental car, with routes taking between 90 minutes and two hours depending on traffic:

  1. Join Highway 6 South.
  2. After around 42 miles, use ramp to merge on to US 290 East for Houston.
  3. Exit on to I-10 East, then Exit 768B for I-45 South.
  4. Leave the I-45 South at Exit 47C.

 

How To Get From College Station To Dallas

The ‘Big D’ is around a three-hour drive to the north of College Station in your car rental. Head northeast from Bryan on US 190. At North Zulch, join Farm to Market 39 North for about 30 miles. Take US 79 North and then merge on to I-45 North for Dallas.
