Milwaukee is known best for its cheese, sausage and beer. The largest city in the state is also home to Miller Brewing (and, once upon a time, Pabst). Located off Interstate 94, it's a short drive from both Chicago and Madison in your Wisconsin rental car. You'll find that during the annual Summer Fest music festival, dubbed by the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest music festival in the world, people from all over the Midwest flock to Milwaukee!
Milwaukee was once home to the world's four largest breweries: Schlitz, Blatz, Pabst and Miller. Miller, which merged with Coors not too long ago, may be the only one left, but they certainly do the city justice. The brewery produces an astounding 2,000 cans each minute. Other breweries to check out while you're in Brew City include Lakefront and Buffalo Water Brewing Co. Milwaukee's history serves as the inspiration for the city's Major League Baseball team, the Milwaukee Brewers. The Brewers play just a short drive outside downtown at Miller Park.
Located on South 6th Street, the Harley-Davidson Museum is a tribute to the culture of the company as a whole. Though the photos, videos and apparel are impressive on their own, you'll want to check out the Archives, where over 450 motorcycles are stored. The Harley-Davidson plant itself offers a more technical tour for bike buffs and is a mere 20-minute drive west in your Milwaukee rental car.
