Traffic in Denver can be heavy – especially on the intersection between I-25 and I-70 – coined the “Mousetrap” by locals. Rush hour traffic happens in the morning and evening, and this usually causes delays on major highways and in the business district. Congestion tends to be at its worst on Friday from 5 to 6 pm.

It’s recommended that drivers avoid I-70 westbound on Friday afternoons, and Saturday and Sunday mornings, as many people tend to travel to the mountains at this time.
