Find a charging station

  • Use the in-car navigation, or a trip planner like A Better Routeplanner, to find nearby charging stations, or to see them along your route.
  • You can filter charging stations by speed: The higher the kW the faster the charge!
    • DC Fast Charge | 50-350 kW
20-60 minutes charge time to 80% full. Best if you plan around meals or short activity.
    • AC Level 2 | 7-19 kW
4-10 hours charge time to 80% full. Best if you plan for overnight, workday, or daylong event
  • Once you find a nearby charger, you may have to download that network’s app to pay. Examples of charging station networks are: EVgo, Chargepoint, Blink, EVCS, and Electrify America.

Increase the range of your Kia EV6

There are a few things you can do to increase the charge range of an EV:

  1. Cut down on quick acceleration as much as possible and avoid slamming on the brakes. Driving slowly and carefully will use less power.
  2. Turning on Eco mode is an efficient way to stretch the battery range of your EV. You might not get the same pickup, but you’ll be able to cover more miles on one charge.
  3. Functions can drain battery power. Reduce your usage of features like infotainment systems or A/C and to extend battery range.
  4. Ensuring that your tires are inflated to the correct pressure can help make your Kia EV6 more economical. Low pressure tires (and even high pressure) can have a negative effect on the car’s efficiency, as well as your driving experience.
  5. Plan your routes. High speed roads, like freeways, will use more energy. Sometimes, taking the back roads could help with energy consumption.
