How to get from the Bronx to Central Park, Manhattan

It takes between 20 and 40 minutes to drive the eight miles from the Bronx to Central Park in Manhattan with your car rental, depending on traffic conditions.

  1. Take the I-95 S/Cross Bronx Expressway from East Tremont Avenue and Morris Park Avenue.
  2. Merge onto I-87 heading south.
  3. Continue south on I-87 until you reach Exterior Street. From there, take Exit 3 before turning right and heading over Madison Avenue Bridge.
  4. Turn left onto 5 Avenue and continue south for just under a mile. When you reach Marcus Garvey Park, turn right and follow the road around the park until you rejoin 5 Avenue.
  5. Continue south for around half a mile.

 

How to get from the Bronx to John F. Kennedy International Airport

John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) is just a 30-minute car journey from the Bronx with your rental. Just take I-95 North from White Plains Road and exit onto I-678 South in Queens. This will then take you all the way to the airport.
