  • U.S. Highway 20 (US 20) is a major highway running east-west just south of Hailey, accessible by ID-75. Drive west to reach the city of Mountain Home.
  • Forest Road 097 is a remote road leading from the center of Hailey into Sawtooth National Forest, via Wolftone and Deer Creek campgrounds.

How to Get From Hailey to Craters of the Moon National Monument & Preserve

It takes about two hours to drive the 58 miles from Hailey in your rental car to the Craters of the Moon National Monument and Preserve.

  1. Drive south on ID-75.
  2. Turn left onto Gannett Rd.
  3. Turn left onto US 20 E.
  4. Take a left onto US-26.
  5. Make a right onto North Laidlaw Park Road and follow to arrive.
