VALID LICENSE FROM COUNTRY OF RESIDENCE.

FOR FOREIGN DRIVERS, PROVISIONAL DRIVING LICENSES OR LEARNER PERMITS ARE NOT ACCEPTED.

IF THE DRIVING LICENSE AND THE PASSPORT ARE NOT IN ENGLISH, TRANSLATIONS OF THOSE TWO DOCUMENTS DONE BY THE RELEVANT EMBASSY / MISSION IS REQUIRED.

DRIVING LICENSE FROM YOUR COUNTRY OF ORIGIN SHOULD BE IN ENGLISH AND AT LEAST ONE YEAR OLD.

INTERNATIONAL DRIVING LICENSE IN ENGLISH AND BE LESS THAN ONE YEAR.

FOREIGN  RENTERS WISHING TO DRIVE IN SRI LANKS, HERTZ CAN HELP YOU OBTAIN A SRI LANKAN DRIVING PERMIT AUTHORIZED BY THE SRI LANKAN TRAFFIC DEPT.

THIS HAS A COSTING OF 35.00USD

The rate includes Collision Damage Waiver which provides cover for accident damage to the Hertz vehicle and third party property (3rd Party Property cover is unlimited).

The following excess applies:

US $666.00 (Group B) $833.00 (Group E, F, I & P)

The Renter may take LDW (Loss Damage Waiver) to reduce their excess to the following:

US $500.00 (Group B & P) $833.00 (Group E, F & I)

Loss Damage Waiver can be purchased at a daily rate of:

US $5.00  (Group A) $7.00  (Group B, E, F and P) 

FULL RESPONSIBILITY OF THE RENTER       
                                     
- Driving outside of Sri Lanka                                                 
- Participation in criminal conduct.                                            
- Participation in motor racing and reckless driving.
- Driving under the influence of intoxication or drug use.            
- From towing another vehicle.
