How to get from Munich Airport to Munich Old Town

It takes roughly 30 minutes to drive the 22.6 miles from Munich Franz-Josef-Strauss Airport Hertz Car Rental to Munich Old Town.

  1. Leave the car rental parking lot at Franz-Josef-Strauss Airport.
  2. Drive west towards Terminalstrasse Mitte and turn left on to it.
  3. Join the Zentralallee and continue on the A92.
  4. Follow the A92, then take the A9 to the B2R in Munich.
  5. Take Exit 76 from the A9.
  6. Continue along the B2R and take Ifflandstrasse, Oettingenstrasse and Maximilianstrasseto Schrammerstrasse to reach your destination.

 

How to get from Munich to Salzburg

Salzburg is less than a two-hour drive from Munich when you rent a car. Just take Rosenheimer Street to the A8, then follow the A8 until Salzburger Street (B150) in Salzburg.

Then, take Exit 288-Salzburg-Nord Zentrum from the A1. Merge on to Salzburger Street (B150) and you have arrived.
