Rent a car from Perth Airport

Perth is the sunniest city in Australia, and you’ll know that from the moment you touch down at Perth Airport that your holiday will be filled with beach days, activities, and adventures.

Your Hertz rental from Perth Airport will help you get from place to place, whether it’s an epic road trip up or down the west coast, or a close-by exploration of some of the beautiful beaches and national parks in and around Perth itself.

Hire A Car From Perth Airport And Explore The City

Perth is a fantastic city to explore.

Situated alongside the CBD is King’s Park, which is a beautiful spot that overlooks the city. Head here for a sunset you’ll never quite forget, or walk through and enjoy some of the flora and fauna that reside here.

Perhaps take a stroll along Elizabeth Quay, which is littered with delicious eateries, bars, cafes, and more. There are even galleries and markets here too, and it’s the perfect place to spend an afternoon in the Perth sunshine.

Of course, Western Australia is famed for its beaches and its sunsets. The sunsets here are unlike any in Australia, as the sun dips into the Indian Ocean. Thankfully, Perth is famed for its beaches, and there is nothing quite like watching the sunset from one of the many that decorate the Perth coastline. Choose from Cottesloe, where you can spend your days swimming and snorkelling, or even Scarborough Beach for a good surf.

Leave the City Behind with Hertz

Once you’ve finished exploring the city, it’s time to hit the road and head to one of the many destinations that surround Perth.

Three hours south of Perth sits the much-loved Margaret River region. Known for its delicious wines and quality food, it’s the perfect spot for a weekend away with friends. Make sure to drive safely and always have a designated driver if you’re to enjoy one of the many wine tours available here. It’s a gorgeous spot any time of the year, but a visit in the warmer months allows for a trip to the beaches nearby, too.

Another famed wine region is Swan Valley. It’s ideally situated just an hour outside of the city: with a food and wine trail that’s over 32 kilometres long and includes over 150 wineries and breweries, you can have a fantastic day trip here.

Of course, no trip to Perth is complete without a visit to Rottnest Island. Simply hop on one of the many ferries available and head on over to explore this remote paradise. While here, take a quick selfie with the world’s happiest animal, the quokka. This marsupial is native to the island with no predators, so they’re always happy to say hello to humans and have a quick picture or two. There are over 80 beaches on this island, so hire a bike from one of the local shops and head on-off for a day of island adventures.

Finally, there are the Pinnacles in Nambung National Park. These ancient limestone formations are eerily impressive and should be viewed if possible at sunrise or sunset, for the best experience possible.

However you choose to spend your time while in Perth, we know you’ll have a fantastic time. From the beautiful beaches that reside on the coast, to the islands just off it, and everything in between, Perth is a fantastic city. Collect your Hertz rental car from Perth Airport, and hit the road today.

Fuel & Electrical Recharging Policy

Fuel is not included in your rental rate. Your vehicle will be provided with a full tank of fuel or if the tank is not full, we will provide you with credit for the missing fuel and you can decide how you wish to pay for the fuel you use during your rental. You have the following options:

Buy a full tank at the start …

  • Often referred to as our Fuel Purchase Option (FPO).
  • If you purchase a full tank of fuel from us at the start of your rental, you will not need to refill the tank before returning and will have nothing more to pay for fuel.
  • This is a good option for high kilometre journeys where you are likely to use a full tank.

Buy a half tank at the start….

  • It may be more convenient to pay for a half tank of fuel at the start of the rental and save time on refuelling by returning the vehicle with only a half a tank of fuel.
  • This is a good option for low kilometre journeys where you are more likely to use less fuel.
  •

FUEL PURCHASE OPTION (FPO)

We charge you at the start of your rental for a full tank of fuel at a price competitive with local fuel stations. You will have nothing more to pay to us for your fuel. Please note that we do not provide a refund for unused fuel.

HALF TANK OPTION

We charge you at the start of your rental for a half tank of fuel at a competitive price with local fuel stations and return with only half a tank of fuel. Please note that we do not provide a refund for unused fuel.

Return with a full tank …

  • Return the vehicle with a full tank of fuel purchased from a local fuel station.
  • This is a good option for low kilometre journeys.

IMPORTANT: Fuel gauges may still indicate that the tank is “full” many kilometres after it was last re-filled. To deal with this, we ask you to refill the tank within 15 km of the return location and bring your fuel receipt with you when returning the Vehicle. We ask you to present a copy of the fuel receipt to a Hertz employee or leave a copy in the Vehicle. If you do not do so, we reserve the right to apply a small charge – please ask at the counter for details.

…..or without refuelling

  • A good option if you are in a hurry, did not take FPO or a Half Tank of fuel and do not have time to refill the tank on return.

REFUELLING SERVICE CHARGE: We will charge you a price per litre to refill the tank. These prices are indicated on your Rental Agreement.

EV Battery Recharging Service Fee

You are liable for any reduction in battery charge percentage from when you picked up your EV to when you returned it (no refund will be provided if this figure is higher, upon return). If we are required to recharge the EV to return it to its battery departure level, we will charge you a price per kilo watt (kW), as detailed on your Rental Agreement.

EV Low Battery Recharging Service Fee

If you return the vehicle at 15% battery charge level or less, we will charge an additional recharging service fee, as detailed on your Rental Agreement.
