Narrandera Airport

Heart of the Riverina

Welcome to Narrandera!

Narrandera Airport is just an 8-minute drive to the CBD of Narrandera. This means you’ll be able to collect your luggage, pick up your hire car, and be off on an unforgettable New South Wales holiday in no time at all!

Narrandera is in the Riverina region of New South Wales, which is a beautiful area famed for its fresh and local produce. Close by are other famous rural towns, like Griffith, Wagga Wagga, and Albur, all are easily accessible in your rental car.

Whether you’re staying in Narrandera for the entire holiday or heading off for a drive to one of the nearby rural towns, you’ll have a wonderful time. Simply pick up your hire car keys from Hertz Narrandera Airport, and you’ll be on your way.

Taste the Riverina Region in Your Rental Car

You’ll have the entire Riverina Region at your fingertips thanks to your rental car, so it’s not a matter of where you’ll go, but when.

With some of the most beautiful wines available in this area, it’s the perfect road trip to get a sense of the produce that this New South Wales region has to offer. The Riverina produces more than 60% of wines in New South Wales, making it the largest wine-producing area in the state. So, prepare your taste buds and get ready to head to a winery or two! There are some of the best in the world here, with tastings, tours, and cellar door access available at many.

For those wanting a more focused route, head to Griffith to try out the wines. This is the main hub for all the wineries in the region, and it’s just an hour’s drive northwest from Narrandera. No matter what wine takes your fancy, you’ll find one you love here, as every variety of wine is produced in this region. The particular favourites are the chardonnay and shiraz wines.

Of course, there’s also delicious food in the region too. The Riverina region is Australia’s Food Bowl, with exports of a huge variety of food coming from this area. So prepare your taste buds; the area is famed for a strong Italian influence, thanks to the heritage in the area.

If you do decide to embark on a wine tour in your rental car, please always have a designated driver. Remember to enjoy the wineries sensibly and safely.

The Narrandera Nature Reserve is better known as the Koala Reserve, as it’s home to hundreds of marsupials. The koala thrives in this area thanks to the Red River Gums that line the banks of the Murrumbidgee River. It’s the most popular attraction in the area, and it’s easy to see why - you can easily spot the koala from the moment you step outside your rental car. The reserve is just a 30-minute drive to get here from Narrandera CBD.

However you choose to spend your time while in Narrandera and the Riverina Region, it’s clear you’ll have a fantastic time. From the delicious food and wine to the koala spotting opportunities, there’s always something to do while staying here! Simply pick up your rental car from Narrandera Airport Hertz and enjoy your time.

Fuel & Electrical Recharging Policy

Fuel is not included in your rental rate. Your vehicle will be provided with a full tank of fuel or if the tank is not full, we will provide you with credit for the missing fuel and you can decide how you wish to pay for the fuel you use during your rental. You have the following options:

Buy a full tank at the start …

  • Often referred to as our Fuel Purchase Option (FPO).
  • If you purchase a full tank of fuel from us at the start of your rental, you will not need to refill the tank before returning and will have nothing more to pay for fuel.
  • This is a good option for high kilometre journeys where you are likely to use a full tank.

Buy a half tank at the start….

  • It may be more convenient to pay for a half tank of fuel at the start of the rental and save time on refuelling by returning the vehicle with only a half a tank of fuel.
  • This is a good option for low kilometre journeys where you are more likely to use less fuel.
  •

FUEL PURCHASE OPTION (FPO)

We charge you at the start of your rental for a full tank of fuel at a price competitive with local fuel stations. You will have nothing more to pay to us for your fuel. Please note that we do not provide a refund for unused fuel.

HALF TANK OPTION

We charge you at the start of your rental for a half tank of fuel at a competitive price with local fuel stations and return with only half a tank of fuel. Please note that we do not provide a refund for unused fuel.

Return with a full tank …

  • Return the vehicle with a full tank of fuel purchased from a local fuel station.
  • This is a good option for low kilometre journeys.

IMPORTANT: Fuel gauges may still indicate that the tank is “full” many kilometres after it was last re-filled. To deal with this, we ask you to refill the tank within 15 km of the return location and bring your fuel receipt with you when returning the Vehicle. We ask you to present a copy of the fuel receipt to a Hertz employee or leave a copy in the Vehicle. If you do not do so, we reserve the right to apply a small charge – please ask at the counter for details.

…..or without refuelling

  • A good option if you are in a hurry, did not take FPO or a Half Tank of fuel and do not have time to refill the tank on return.

REFUELLING SERVICE CHARGE: We will charge you a price per litre to refill the tank. These prices are indicated on your Rental Agreement.

EV Battery Recharging Service Fee

You are liable for any reduction in battery charge percentage from when you picked up your EV to when you returned it (no refund will be provided if this figure is higher, upon return). If we are required to recharge the EV to return it to its battery departure level, we will charge you a price per kilo watt (kW), as detailed on your Rental Agreement.

EV Low Battery Recharging Service Fee

If you return the vehicle at 15% battery charge level or less, we will charge an additional recharging service fee, as detailed on your Rental Agreement.
