What to see and do in Oklahoma City
National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum
Just off the I-44 E, you’ll find this Oklahoman institution that aims to preserve and celebrate Western art, culture and heritage. Wander around the gallery to see classic and contemporary artworks depicting Western life. Then head to the exhibition wing to wander the interactive Wild Western town, with cowboys and Native American performers.
Oklahoma City Zoo
A day spent at Oklahoma City Zoo is fun for the whole family and just 15 minutes north-east of downtown. With more than 100-acres of wildlife, guests can mingle with the animals, from feeding exotic creatures such as giraffes and flamingos, to taking a ride on a camel’s back. Then get close and personal with big beasts such as grizzly bears and Asian elephants in the Wild Encounters.
Myriad Botanical Gardens
Set in central Oklahoma City, Myriad Botanical Gardens provide a green oasis in the urban sprawl of OKC.
