Driving In and Around Gardena

  • 15446 South Western Avenue Garage (90247) is one half of twin parking garages either side of Gardena’s Western Avenue. It’s nearby many Downtown cafes and is a short walk from Gardena Valley Shopping Center.
  • El Camino Parking Lot (90504) is found just off West Redondo Beach Boulevard, close to El Camino College and the Alondra Park Splash Pad and Skatepark.
  • Parking Lot L (90504) is near to Alondra Park and Alondra Golf Course, just west of Gardena.

 

  • Interstate 110 (I-110) brushes past Gardena to the east, traveling south to Carson and San Pedro. It also leads north through South LA and up to Downtown, eventually linking to CA-110.
  • Interstate 405 (I-405) is another major highway that leads north-west from Gardena to Culver City, Inglewood and Santa Monica. In the opposite direction, it connects with I-5 in Orange County.
  • California State Route 91 (CA-91), also known as Artesia Boulevard, is Gardena’s main road. It runs north-to-south through the center, providing links to Hollywood, Burbank and Harbor City.

 

How to Get From Gardena to Los Angeles

It takes around 30 minutes to drive the 14 miles from Gardena to Los Angeles in your rental car.

  1. Leave the city via Redondo Beach Boulevard.
  2. Take a right to merge onto I-110 N.
  3. Stay on this route for around 11 miles.
  4. Keep on I-110 as it merges with CA-110.
  5. Exit right onto 4th Street to emerge in the heart of Los Angeles’ Financial District.

 

How to Get From Gardena to Los Angeles International Airport

LAX Airport is around a 15-minute drive from Gardena by rental car. Just head west on Redondo Beach Boulevard and turn right on I-405 N. Follow the highway for around three miles, then use the right two lanes to merge onto I-105 W. Finally, take Exit 1C and continue towards the airport.
