A Quick Guide to Florence

See Michelangelo’s Work

Visiting Florence wouldn’t be complete without seeing Michaelangelo’s David at the Accademia Gallery, one of the most iconic statues in the world. But this isn’t the only masterpiece of Michelangelo’s here. See the sculptures Madonna della Scala and Battle of the Centaurs at Casa Buonarroti, plus the wonderful statues of Dawn and Dusk at the Church of San Lorenzo. Michelangelo’s work is flowing through the city where he grew up.

Take a Food Tour

We all know Italy is home to some of the world’s favorite cuisine, and Florence offers delicious delights – but it’s not just the amazing restaurants where you can sample a taste of Florence. The street food is great here – side streets are packed with vendors offering up tiny parcels of flavor for you to tuck into. If you fancy taking your own food tour through the streets of Florence, we recommend schiacciata – soft Tuscan bread bursting with flavor – while lampredotto, otherwise known as tripe, is a famous local snack.
