Millennium Park

Shedd Aquarium

Since opening its doors to visitors in 1930, Shedd has earned its status as one of the biggest aquariums in the world, containing more than five million gallons of water. Today, the aquarium holds around 32,000 animals, spanning more than 1,500 species.

Stop by to see some of the resident sea otters, turtles, penguins and dolphins. Head to the stingray tank for the opportunity to stroke a couple of rays or book an encounter experience to come face to face with a beluga whale.

Skydeck Chicago

Feeling brave? There’s no better way to see Chicago than atop the tallest building in the city and the third tallest in the Western Hemisphere.

Venture up more than 1,353 feet to Skydeck Chicago at the top of the Willis Tower. Take your place on the glass ledge that juts out more than four feet from the building for an aerial view of the skyscrapers and streets below. Even Illinois’ neighboring states are visible from this vantage point.
