Spinasse

1531 14th Avenue, Seattle, WA 98122

Opened in 2008 as a rustic Italian trattoria, Spinasse has received critical acclaim, making it one of the best Italian restaurants in Seattle. Dine here and sample authentic, handmade pasta tossed in a variety of sauces, each boasting a rich and delicious flavor. The cavatelli is a case in point, fresh pasta punched up with an earthy morel mushroom sauce.

Be sure to indulge in one of the classic desserts including espresso semifreddo with chocolate diamante cookie or chocolate mousse with chocolate almond friand, cocoa nib dacquoise and red wine-blackcurrant sauce.

Merchants Cafe

109 Yesler Way, Seattle, WA 98104

Holding the title of Seattle’s oldest restaurant, the Merchants Café building dates back to the 1800s. It has survived the Gold Rush, Prohibition, the Great Depression and a fire through its 121 years – now you can soak up the rich history by dining here.

Feast on classic American dishes like burgers, sandwiches, cobb salad, onion rings and more. There are rumors this historic building is haunted, so who knows, you might get a little ghost sighting while you’re here enjoying a bite to eat.

Matt's in the Market

94 Pike Street #32, Seattle, WA 98101

Serving Pacific Northwest cuisine with fine views of Elliot Bay, Matt’s in the Market is a must-visit when in the city. Located in the iconic, bustling Pike Place Market (a great place to while away the time), seafood is the specialty here.

The oysters, catfish and tuna are fresh and simply presented, highlighting their own flavor, or tuck into pork belly or a lamb burger. As well as the perfect spot for people watching above the market, you can also see Seattle’s iconic neon ‘Public Market Center’ sign.

Miami Beach

13 Coins Seattle

255 S King Street, Seattle, WA 98104

13 Coins’ name is one based on a tale of love. A poor young man was in love with a wealthy girl. When asked by her father what he had to offer for his daughter’s hand in marriage, the young man had only 13 coins – plus the pledge of undying love. The name of this restaurant symbolizes unyielding love.

Clearly, 13 Coins is well loved among Seattleites, having welcomed diners since 1967. The extensive menu in this bustling restaurant features classic American fare such as steaks, burgers and sandwiches, and a range of delicious pasta dishes. Time your visit right and you can enjoy some incredible live music too.

The Capital Grille

1301 4th Avenue, Seattle, WA 98101

For a relaxed fine-dining experience, head to The Capital Grille. Located in the historic Cobb Building in downtown Seattle, dark wood, ornate paintings and stunning chandeliers fill the space – and the food is sure to impress as much as the surroundings.

Using the freshest and finest ingredients, steak fills the menu, while there are some soups, salads, chicken and seafood dishes too. From filet mignon, ribeye and NY strip steak to roast chicken, sea bass and French onion soup, there’s plenty to sink your teeth into here.

Six Seven Restaurant

2411 Alaskan Way Pier 67, Seattle, WA 98121

This serene restaurant is within The Edgewater hotel, serving traditional seasonally-inspired Pacific Northwest cuisine. Diners have the choice of sitting inside the restaurant or outside on the patio with incredible views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains.

Visit for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner and you’re sure to find something to pique your appetite on the extensive menu. Breakfast and brunch serve up a range of egg dishes, as well as waffles and French toast – while some seafood and specials are also added for brunch. Lunch offers a selection of sandwiches and lighter bites, and dinner guests can sample an array of seafood and steak.
