Ford’s experience in van making is unmatched and their highly customizable E-Transit will not disappoint. Chrysler Pacifica Road Tripper

As the name suggests, the Chrysler Pacifica Road Tripper is a minivan built for longer distances. Although it’s not fully electric, the plug-in hybrid offers good range from its battery. Boasting impressive towing power, a 3.6L V6 engine and roomy interiors, this minivan is more than capable to tackle road trips with the family. Regenerative braking keeps the battery ticking over to allow for good all-electric driving in urban environments.

Volkswagen ID. Buzz

Also set to launch in the US in 2024 is VW’s quirky ID. Buzz. Sporting a unique design that honors the popular VW Type 2 Microbus, the VW ID. Buzz is getting a modern makeover and is already available in Europe. Only the passenger version of the ID. Buzz will be available initially, but with all-wheel drive and quick charging, it’s sure to become an instant hit.

Unfortunately, there’s no sign of a cargo-centric model of the ID. Buzz on the horizon. However, the ID. Buzz boasts a customizable and spacious interior with range and performance to match.

Will Tesla make a minivan?

Tesla and EVs have become somewhat synonymous. Although there has been no official announcement of a specific van model yet – we’re assured that one will be released in the near future. In July 2022, Tesla’s CEO, Elon Musk, hinted that Tesla is currently designing an electric van.

The Tesla Cybertruck is rumored to become the foundation of a Tesla electric van. A commercial electric van would likely become an instant hit, as the market for all-electric vans is currently quite small in the US. We anticipate this could be released as early as 2024.
