What do I need to bring to rent the vehicle?

You need to bring a valid driver’s license and valid credit card or debit card.**


The minimum rental duration is 7 days, but you can renew your rental up to 175 days depending on the partner and rental market.


Yes, making a reservation with Hertz is easy! Book through your preferred rideshare app by selecting a Hertz rental.


You must be 21 years or older to qualify to rent under the Hertz Uber and Lyft partner programs.

At many Hertz locations, debit cards issued under a VISA or MasterCard logo which draw funds directly from the cardholder’s account may be used to qualify for rental. However, prepaid or stored value cards which have a VISA or MasterCard logo are not accepted to qualify for rental. When a debit card is accepted as form of payment, at the start of the rental, two (2) forms of identification must be presented. Debit cards must have available funds for the estimated amount of the rental charges and any additional charges that may be incurred. Both debit cards and prepaid or stored value cards issued under a VISA or MasterCard logo may be used as a form of payment when you return the vehicle.


The credit scoring process performed through the services of Equifax are very similar to the type of credit checks that are done when a person applies for credit. This credit check is done at the rental location when you arrive.


Charge cards and debit cards must be in the renter's name. The renter's name must be embossed on the front of the card.


No, you cannot split charges among different cards.


Hertz accepts American Express, MasterCard, Carte Blanche, Visa, Diners Club, Discover, Hertz Charge Card, JCB, Optima Amex, and some debit cards. Credit cards and debit/check cards must have available credit or available funds, for the estimated amount of rental charges and any additional charges that may be incurred.

During other on-app periods, Uber provides coverage for damage to the vehicle in the maximum amount of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) per claim, subject to a $1,000 deductible. Terms and conditions apply to all protection and insurance products, and coverages may vary depending on local laws.
