How to Get From Fairfax to Oakton

It takes eight minutes to drive the 2.6 miles from Fairfax to Oakton in your rental car.

  1. From Main Street, drive west towards VA-123 south.
  2. At the intersection, turn right onto Chain Bridge Road.
  3. Continue straight on Chain Bridge Road for 2.6 miles.
  4. The intersection where Chain Bridge Road meets Hunter Mill Road marks the center of Oakton.

 

How to Get From Fairfax to Washington, DC

Washington is just a 30-minute drive from Fairfax by rental car. Get on I-66 east from Chain Bridge Road for 15 miles. Exit I-66 at the Whitehurst Freeway exit and keep right following the signs for L Street NW. Turn left off L Street NW onto 16th Street NW and arrive in Washington.
