  3. Use the third exit on the roundabout to take Vermont Avenue.
  4. Make a right turn onto Union Street.
  5. After around a mile, turn left onto Hammond Street.
  6. Continue on to eventually reach central Bangor.

How to get from Bangor to Acadia National Park

The park is only an hour’s drive away when you rent a car from Bangor. Follow US-1A East out of the city, towards Ellsworth. Join the ME-3 East and the ME233, then continue towards Mount Desert to arrive.
