How to Get From Greensboro to Raleigh

It takes an hour and 20 minutes to travel from our Greensboro car rental location to Raleigh.

  1. Leave central Greensboro via East Gate City Boulevard.
  2. Take a left onto I-40 East and merge onto the highway.
  3. After passing Graham, NC, keep left to stay on I-40 East.
  4. Keep right at the fork near Occoneechee Mountain State and follow signs for Interstate 40/Raleigh.
  5. Use the right two lanes to take Exit 289, towards I-440/US-1 North.
  6. Continue onto Wade Avenue.
  7. Take a right onto NC-50 S/US-70 East and continue on to arrive in Downtown Raleigh.

 

How to Get From Greensboro to Charlotte

The Queen city is less than 90 minutes away from Greensboro in your rental car. Leave the city via Freeman Mill Road, then take Exit 79 to join I-85BL South for around 88 miles. Use Exit 38 to merge onto I-77 S, which will take you into Charlotte.
