Driving In and Around Florence

  • Florence Stockade Visitor Center (29506) is at Florence Stockade which is not far from Timrod Park. 
  • 2680 Hospitality Boulevard Parking (29501) is close to the shops and restaurants at Magnolia Mall as well as the Florence Center.
  • Emerson Public Parking (29501) is in Downtown near the Florence County and War Between the States museums.
  • Interstate 95 (I-95) connects to the I-20 and runs along the west of the city, continuing up into North Carolina and down to Florida.
  • US Route 76 (US 76) goes through the center of the city from west to east and out to the airport.
  • US Route 52 (US 52) starts in the south of the city and continues north where it meets the I-95.

How to Get From Florence Regional Airport to Florence Center

It takes around 20 minutes to drive 10 miles to Florence Center when you collect your rental car from Florence Regional Airport:

  1. Leave Florence Regional Airport car rental parking lot via Terminal Drive and follow it on to Kirshy Boulevard.
  2. At the end of the road turn left on to East Palmetto Street (US 76).
  3. Keep right to join East Cheves Street and then turn right at the traffic lights. 
  4. Stay on this road as it merges and becomes the US 52 and then keep right to merge on to the I-95 South.
  5. Take Exit 160A for the I-20 East and then turn off at the first right which will take you to the arena.

 

How to Get From Florence Regional Airport to Charleston

Charleston is just a two-hour drive from the Florence Regional Airport car rental lot. Take the I-95 South and then join the I-26 East which will take you all the way to the city and coastline.
