How to Get From Ronkonkoma to Stony Brook in a Holiday Rental Car

It takes 25 minutes to drive the 9.7 miles from Ronkonkoma to the hamlet of Stony Brook.

  1. Leave Ronkonkoma by heading east on Ocean Avenue.
  2. Bear left as Ocean Avenue becomes Rosevale Avenue and continue on to Gibbs Pond Road.
  3. Continue straight on to Lake Avenue South to the end of the road.
  4. At the intersection, turn right on to NY-25A, and then continue on to Country Route 68.
  5. Turn right at Cedar Street and arrive in Stony Brook.

 

How to Get From Ronkonkoma to the Brooklyn Bridge in a Car Rental

Brooklyn is a one hour and 20-minute drive from Ronkonkoma in your rental car. Get on the I-495 West using the New York slip road, and then take exit 17W on to I-279. Finally, take exit 29 towards the Manhattan Bridge to arrive in downtown Brooklyn.
