  • US Route 20 (US 20) enters Idaho Falls from the west and cuts northeast through the city, towards the western entrance of Yellowstone National Park.
  • US Route 91 (US 91) starts in Idaho Falls and heads south to Pocatello, before crossing into Utah.

 

How to Get From Idaho Falls to Twin Falls

The gateway to Snake River Canyon is around a two-and-a-half-hour drive via car rental from Idaho Falls:

  1. Leave the car rental pick-up in Idaho Falls via West Broadway Street and use the right lane to join the I-15 South.
  2. Follow the I-15 for 46 miles, before taking Exit 72 on to the I-86 West.
  3. Continue along I-86 West for 63 miles and then merge on to the I-84 West.
  4. After 38 miles, take Exit 182 and turn left on to ID 50 South.
  5. Head straight across Hansen Bridge and take the US 30 West towards Twin Falls.

 

How to Get From Idaho Falls Regional Airport to Downtown

It takes around 10 minutes to drive from the airport to Downtown with business or holiday car rental. Just leave the car rental parking lot at Idaho Falls Regional Airport and follow North Skyline Drive for one mile. Then turn right on to West Broadway Street and continue across the Snake River into Downtown.
