Driving In and Around Columbus

  • River Center Parking Garage (31901) contains more than 750 spaces and is open 24/7. It’s just a few blocks away from Woodruff Riverfront Park.
  • Bay Avenue Garage (31901) has an hourly parking charge and also offers monthly leases for longer stays. It’s located across from the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer Office on 4 W 12th Street.
  • Lot parking and street parking available near the Coca-Cola Space Science Center. There are also on-street parking spaces on 9th and 10th Street.
  • Interstate 185 (I-185) begins just north of Fort Benning in the southwest part of Columbus, heading through Muscogee, Harris and Troup counties. It also connects to I-85 in the north.
  • U.S. Route 80 (US-80) travels east-west through the city center and travels across to Macon and over the Alabama state line to Montgomery.
  • U.S. Route 280 (US-280) heads southeast out of Columbus and runs all the way across to Savannah.

How to Get From Columbus to Atlanta

Atlanta is less than two-hour’s drive north from our Columbus car rental location.

  1. Leave the city center on 2nd Avenue.
  2. Stay right at the fork to join US-80 East/GA-22 East.
  3. Keep right onto Exit 4 and follow signs for I-185 North/Atlanta.
  4. Merge onto I-185 North and follow for 39 miles.
  5. Use the exit to enter I-85 North to Atlanta for 57 miles.
  6. Remain on I-85 North on the outskirts of Atlanta.
  7. Take the right lane for Exit 246 and follow into the city center.

 

How to Get From Columbus to Tuskegee National Forest

The stunning Tuskegee National Forest is less than an hour’s drive west of our Columbus car rental location. Head south on Veterans Parkway and join US-280 West to enter Alabama. Turn left onto US-80 West for 33 miles, then continue straight onto AL-186 West before turning right onto National Forest Road 949.

 

How to Get From Dedham to Boston

Boston is less than a 30-minute drive by rental car from Dedham. Head south on East Street and get on I-95 south. Continue oo I-93 north following the signs for Boston and take exit 17. Keep left on to North Street and arrive in Boston.
