Car Rental - Providenciales International Airport

The rental counter is located about 1 to 2 minutes from the airport.  Hertz staff with signs are placed outside of the Arrivals Lounge.  Signs are posted to direct you to the pickup area.

All state, provincial and international licenses are accepted in the Turks and Caicos Islands. 

At time of rental the driver must present a valid national driver's license. Your own license will be valid up to three months.  After three months, you will be required to go to the Road Traffic office and get your license transferred to a Turks and Caicos license.  The cost is approximately USD 50.00.  A local permit is also required in addition to the license. 

Driver's licences issued by the People's Republic of China may be accepted provided that the you present an official Hertz Certification form. Hertz China will issue this form on Hertz notepaper and will incorporate the Hertz China Corporate seal. A scanned copy of the original licence will appear on the Certification form. The Certification form is valid until the expiry date of the Driver's Licence. BOTH the Certification and the original licence MUST be produced at the time of rental.
 
For driver's licences issued in Vietnam, you will need to present the original licence together with an authorized translation issued by the Vietnamese Ministry of Transport. If both documents are presented at time of rental these licences are acceptable worldwide.

A one way rental is a rental which starts at one location and terminates at another. Availability is subject to location restrictions and vehicle type. A fee may apply for this service and will be advised at time of reservation.

Hertz rates do not include fuel.
All Hertz vehicles are rented with a full tank and must be returned with a full tank or a local refuelling charge will apply in addition to the cost of the fuel.

Fuel Purchase Option (FPO)
For your convenience, you may purchase a tank of fuel from Hertz at the time of rental at a price that is competitive with local fuel stations. This method eliminates the need for you to refill the tank before returning. Please be aware that we are unable to give a refund for unused fuel.
