Adelaide Airport

Car Rental Adelaide Airport

It’s time for your trip to Adelaide! From the moment you touch down at Adelaide Airport, we bet you’ll want to hit the road as soon as possible. With a rental car from Hertz Adelaide Airport that’ll definitely be possible!

There is so much to do in this South Australian city. Thankfully, the Adelaide Airport is just a 25-minute drive from the city centre, which means you’ll be exploring the Festival City in no time at all. Let’s not forget that Adelaide is a gateway to some beautiful South Australian destinations, with Barossa, Glenelg, and the Fleurieu Peninsula all calling this state their home.

Adelaide is known by many names. It’s the Festival City, the City of Churches and the City of Parks. This means that you’ll have plenty to keep you occupied even if you never leave the Adelaide borders. But, if one thing is for sure, your exploration will be a whole lot easier with a Hertz rental car.

Attend an Event with Hertz

The city of Adelaide has experienced one of the greatest revivals in urban culture in recent years, going from a fairly introverted sister to some of Australia’s bigger cities, to becoming a sought-after destination for fun and great-tasting food all year round. Suffice it to say, there’s always something going on at whatever time of the year you visit.

Many head here during the summer months to enjoy the Adelaide Fringe Festival. It’s the world’s second-largest arts festival, with more than 600,000 attendees heading to the city to experience the local and international artists and performances. There's also the WOMADelaide in autumn, which is a multicultural four-day festival of world music, art and dance. In spring, enjoy the Adelaide Film Festival, which is an international film festival enjoyed by thousands each year.

Explore The City with Hertz

Even if you miss the date for one of the big festivals here, there’s always plenty to do and see any time of the year.

There’s the Adelaide Botanic Gardens, which is home to 50 hectares of both native and foreign plants. Make sure to check out the beautiful architecture while you’re here, and perhaps stop for a picnic if the weather is good.

For sports lovers, make sure to go to the Adelaide Oval. This famed stadium is one of Australia’s finest, and you can experience it all with a tour during your stay.

Then there is the Art Gallery of South Australia, which is home to many colonial Australian and British pieces and features close to 40,000 works of art within its collection. It’s a great way to spend an afternoon out of the sunshine.

Explore South Australia’s Countryside with Hertz

Adelaide is the gateway to many beautiful countryside spots. Even if you just fancy a day trip, there is plenty to discover just a short drive away from the main CBD.

Why not head to the Fleurieu Peninsula? It’s one of the most beautiful stretches of rugged coastline in Australia. Enjoy the calm, pristine blue waters as a welcome break from the hot Adelaide summer days. It'll be well worth the 45-minute drive to get here from the city centre.

Adelaide is the perfect city to enjoy any time of the year. And the best way to do it is with a hire car from Hertz Adelaide Airport.

The Certification is valid until the expiry date of the China Driver's License. Both the Certification and the original China Driver’s License MUST be produced at the time of rental.

Digital Driver License

Fuel & Electrical Recharging Policy

Fuel is not included in your rental rate. Your vehicle will be provided with a full tank of fuel or if the tank is not full, we will provide you with credit for the missing fuel and you can decide how you wish to pay for the fuel you use during your rental. You have the following options:

Buy a full tank at the start …

  • Often referred to as our Fuel Purchase Option (FPO).
  • If you purchase a full tank of fuel from us at the start of your rental, you will not need to refill the tank before returning and will have nothing more to pay for fuel.
  • This is a good option for high kilometre journeys where you are likely to use a full tank.

Buy a half tank at the start….

  • It may be more convenient to pay for a half tank of fuel at the start of the rental and save time on refuelling by returning the vehicle with only a half a tank of fuel.
  • This is a good option for low kilometre journeys where you are more likely to use less fuel.
  •

FUEL PURCHASE OPTION (FPO)

We charge you at the start of your rental for a full tank of fuel at a price competitive with local fuel stations. You will have nothing more to pay to us for your fuel. Please note that we do not provide a refund for unused fuel.

HALF TANK OPTION

We charge you at the start of your rental for a half tank of fuel at a competitive price with local fuel stations and return with only half a tank of fuel. Please note that we do not provide a refund for unused fuel.

Return with a full tank …

  • Return the vehicle with a full tank of fuel purchased from a local fuel station.
  • This is a good option for low kilometre journeys.

IMPORTANT: Fuel gauges may still indicate that the tank is “full” many kilometres after it was last re-filled. To deal with this, we ask you to refill the tank within 15 km of the return location and bring your fuel receipt with you when returning the Vehicle. We ask you to present a copy of the fuel receipt to a Hertz employee or leave a copy in the Vehicle. If you do not do so, we reserve the right to apply a small charge – please ask at the counter for details.

…..or without refuelling

  • A good option if you are in a hurry, did not take FPO or a Half Tank of fuel and do not have time to refill the tank on return.

REFUELLING SERVICE CHARGE: We will charge you a price per litre to refill the tank. These prices are indicated on your Rental Agreement.

EV Battery Recharging Service Fee

You are liable for any reduction in battery charge percentage from when you picked up your EV to when you returned it (no refund will be provided if this figure is higher, upon return). If we are required to recharge the EV to return it to its battery departure level, we will charge you a price per kilo watt (kW), as detailed on your Rental Agreement.

EV Low Battery Recharging Service Fee

If you return the vehicle at 15% battery charge level or less, we will charge an additional recharging service fee, as detailed on your Rental Agreement.
