Surf’s Up For Breakfast

First stop is Hermosa Surf for some surf gear shopping, smoothies, lattes and snacks. You may even meet surf shop owner, Atilla, who is a designer and artist. Check out his art around the store.

 

See The Lions Of The Sea

Next, drive over to La Jolla Cove  – home to a huge population of sea lions! Take in the views of the beautiful beach surrounded by cliffs and watch the pinnipeds swim, tan and sleep.

 

Explore San Diego’s Backyard

This scenic road trips continues to Balboa Park, where you will discover 1,200 acres of nature, museums, theaters and architecture. Take some time to explore all the beautiful art and culture.

 

Food With A View

Next stop? It’s time for a snack with picturesque views. Head over to the Walking on Water Café at the Ocean Beach Pier, the longest pier on the West Coast! Order, eat and enjoy some vitamin sea.

 

Go To The Edge Of The World

Also known as the tip of Point Loma, take a hike and take in one of the best views in San Diego. Check out the Cabrillo National Monument, commemorating the landing of Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo – the first European to set foot on the West Coast of the United States.

 

Get Your Fill Of Fresh Fish

After all this exploring, it’s getting closer to dinnertime. Head to Point Loma Seafoods fish market for the halibut…or other fresh fish, scallops and crabcakes. They have it all.

 

Dessert Before Dinner

Who says you can’t satisfy your sweet tooth before a main meal? The Craft Creamery is a must to enjoy a delicious ice cream cone and a gorgeous West Coast sunset. Give the cappuccino chip or dark cherry flavors a try. The writing is on the wall here: Every day is sundae.
