  • Metered on-street parking can be found across the city. Look out for signs indicating any time limits – green signs mean a maximum of a two hour stay while blue signs are limited to four hours.

 

  • Interstate 81 (I-81) connects central New York with the wider east coast, including Pennsylvania and Maryland. It runs along Binghamton’s north side towards Syracuse and Lake Ontario.
  • Interstate 88 (I-88) branches off the I-81 north of the city and heads west along the Susquehanna River towards Albany.
  • New York State Route 17 (NY 17) runs along New York’s south, heading east to Elmira and west towards New York City.

 

How to Get From Car Rental at Binghamton to Buttermilk Falls State Park

It takes just over an hour to reach Buttermilk Falls State Park when you rent a car from Binghamton. Just head west out of the city along the NY 17 highway before merging onto the NY 96 North. Keep on this road as it becomes the NY 96B, then turn left on to West King Road to head into the state park.
