Car Rental - Guadalajara International Airport

At time of rental, the renter must present a valid driver's licence issued from country of residence. An International Driver's Licence is suggested, but not required.

Mexican citizens are required to also present official ID such as birth certificate, voting card or passport at time of rental.

Driver's licences issued by the People's Republic of China may be accepted provided you present an official Hertz Certification form. Hertz China will issue this form on Hertz notepaper and will incorporate the Hertz China Corporate seal. A scanned copy of the original licence will appear on the Certification form. The Certification form is valid until the expiry date of the Driver's Licence. BOTH the Certification and the original licence MUST be produced at the time of rental.

If you hold a Driver's Licence issued in Vietnam, you need to present the original licence together with an authorised translation issued by the Vietnamese Ministry of Transport. If both documents are presented at time of rental these licences are acceptable worldwide.

A one way rental is a rental which starts at one location and terminates at another. Availability is subject to location restrictions and vehicle type. A fee may apply for this service and will be advised at time of reservation.

Hertz has three refueling options available to meet your needs:

• You may purchase a tank of gas from Hertz at time of rental and return the vehicle with as little gas as you prefer.  Please be aware that we are unable to issue a refund for unused fuel.  However, this method eliminates the need for you to refuel the tank prior to returning.

• You can let us refuel for you and only pay for the fuel required to replace the fuel you used, and for the service and convenience of refueling the tank.

• You can stop and refuel the tank yourself, immediately prior to returning the vehicle.

You must meet the minimum age restrictions, present a valid driver's license and possess an acceptable charge card in your name.

Residents of Mexico may be required to provide a valid voting I.D. CARD /Credencial de Elector/ in order to rent.
Non-residents of Mexico will not be required to show any additional identification in order to rent.

At the time of rental, an authorization is obtained on your charge card based on the estimated rental charges plus the

following amounts. You must have enough credit on your card to cover all charges.

At the counter, the U. S. dollar amount will be converted into Pesos, at the current exchange rate before being charged to the credit card.
