  • Interstate 20 (I-20) travels through the center of the city, continuing east to South Carolina and west into Texas.
  • Interstate 220 (I-220) loops around the north of the city, connecting to the I-20 in the east, as well as the west.
  • Interstate 49 (I-49) joins the I-220 in the north of the city and continues up into Arkansas. It also connects with the I-20 in the center. This will take you all the way down to Lafayette in southern Louisiana.

 

How to Get From Shreveport Regional Airport to Downtown Riverfront

It takes around 15 minutes to drive your Hertz car rental the seven miles from Shreveport Regional Airport to Downtown Riverfront.

  1. Leave the Shreveport car rental parking lot via Claude Hamel Drive and then keep left on to Perimeter Road and then right to join up with Claude Hamel Drive again.
  2. Follow this straight on to Monkhouse Drive.
  3. Take the exit to join the I-20 and keep following this road to Murphy Street.
  4. From here, take a left on to Texas Avenue and then right to join Crockett Street, which will take you to Downtown Riverfront.

 

How to Get From Shreveport to Kisatchie National Forest

Kisatchie National Forest takes just over two hours to reach, by rental car, from Shreveport. Take the I-71 heading south, and this will lead you to the state’s only national forest.
