Best hotels in Green Bay
Hotel Northland
304 N Adams St, WI, 54301
If you’re planning on staying in the Downtown area, this hotel – part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection –is a great choice. This historic building has been hosting guests since 1924, and the sensitively restored rooms add a dash of modern tech to the unfaded glamor of the originals. There are two superb restaurants – Poke the Bear and the Walnut Room, which first opened in the ‘Roaring 20’s’.

Where to eat in Green Bay
Kroll’s East
1658 Main St, WI, 54302
There’s a good reason Kroll’s has been a local staple since 1945 – this is good-quality, casual family dining at its best. The Black Angus beef burgers are the main event here, with numerous options and plenty of toppings, but the Lake Perch with buttered rye bread is also a popular choice.
Hinterland
1001 Lombardi Access Rd, WI, 54304
This brewery dishes up quality comfort food such as battered cheese cruds, pizza and tacos. But the real action is in the ‘High Gravity Test Kitchen’, known for its lesser-seen ingredients and unusual flavor pairings. Antelope loin may be paired with squash rings, scallops with foraged mushrooms.
Stella’s
401 Main Ave, De Pere, WI, 54115
This neighborhood eatery in Pere hits all the sweet spots of atmosphere, taste and service. You’ll feel like you’re dining with family as you work your way through lemon-drop scallops, wagyu tenderloin, truffle fries and an ambrosial tartufo dessert.
What to do in Green Bay
Lambeau Field
1265 Lombardi Ave, WI, 54304
The legendary home of the Green Bay Packers is the oldest continuous home of an NFL team, and is seriously rich with history. If you’re lucky enough to score a ticket when they’re at home, you can join the ‘cheeseheads’ in giving passionate support. If you’re not, or it’s out of season, you can still take a stadium tour and visit the Hall of Fame.
Bay Beach Amusement Park
1313 Bay Beach Rf, WI, 54302
This wonderful throwback amusement park sits on the Fox River and offers fun activities for all ages. It has been here since 1892 in one form or another, and today hosts bumper cars, sedate children’s rides, a Ferris wheel and, most notably, the Zippin Pipping. This is one of the nation’s oldest wooden rollercoasters, moved here in 2010 after opening almost a century earlier in Memphis.
Meyer Theatre
117 S Washington St, WI, 54301
This still-active theater opened its doors in 1930 and maintains its gorgeous Spanish Colonial Revival and Art Deco architecture to this day. Originally a vaudeville house, it’s now home to its own troupe of performers and hosts touring shows and performances in an atmospheric auditorium. The Wurlitzer organ and lights are all original.
